Mary Jo Hoffman is an aeronautical engineer-turned-artist. Twelve years ago she began a daily practice of photographing found nature, no subject too small or ordinary. Now, Phaidon has published her first book Still: The Art of Noticing. This is a story about a creative serendipitous find that has become, a beautiful way to live. Also today, philosophical YouTuber Sean Tucker answers a question about finding the energy to pursue photography despite daily life competing for space in one's day. Karl Blossfeldt, (June 13, 1865 – December 9, 1932) was a German photographer and sculptor. He is best known for his close-up photographs of plants and living things, inspired, as was his father, by nature and the ways in which plants grow.
Lisa Congdon started a blog called A Collection A Day in January 2010. Over the course of a year, she posted a collection a day of various items she had acquired, found and assembled from items in "flea markets, thrift stores, junk shops, garage sales, giveaway piles and family attics."

The 'Alstroemeria' image is taken with the Lomography 400 film stock, whereas, with the 'Pussy Willow' and (the outtake of the shoot) 'Pussy Willow & Tulip' images. Hannah uses a higher speed film, Lomography 800. “I adore the vibrancy of this film, especially in 120 - medium format - it works so beautifully.”
