DAD’S SHED

BY DAVID BROWN

After our Dads passing last year my Brothers and I began the process of sorting out what the solicitors term his, ‘Estate.’ We knew once the house was sorted we would have to get to grips with his shed.

The shed as kids we hid in, played on and later in life gravitated to with a brew to get stuff, to do stuff. Sit in its shade when Dad and I would be doing some work in the garden. Everything in place were we knew it would be, organised and neat , well as neat as sheds can be.

There's nothing especially of note in the shed. It’s tools, paints, bits and bobs that will come in handy one day. But that day has now sadly passed.
