#384 PHOTOWALK: FREEDOM FROM THE NOISE
The only walking photography podcast of its kind, from the Netherlands, Loek van Vliet talks today about his long-term photography project Earthly Windows, a trip through time and space in Europe. Valérie Jardin begins a new monthly series of Visual Stories; a mini street workshop and Extra Miler Matt Dolinski shares his thoughts on how photography helps his mental health. Letters as we walk today on an unknown phenomenon that removes your ability to recall objects in your mind, the walking stick and the trail walkers, pictures without an agenda in Sweden, and why leaving your work for strangers to find can result in exciting adventures. We also reveal the flask winner following May's assignment.
Email your stories, thoughts, and pictures to the show. If you can optimize/resize photos to 2,500 pixels wide, that’s always much appreciated. If you’d like to support this show and have access to further content and the midweek Extra Mile show, we’d welcome you as an EXTRA MILER. There’s also our thriving Facebook group, a safe place to meet and talk with photographers of all interests, plus the show is featured on Instagram, VERO and Twitter.
As well as our Extra Milers, we’re also supported by our incredible friends at MPB.com who have believed in this show from the get-go; the number one platform in the UK, US and Europe (with bases in Brighton, Brooklyn and Berlin) when it comes to buying, trading or selling quality used kit online. They help us as photographers to tell our unique stories by providing a safe place to buy, trade and sell the kit we need and in doing so, we become a part of the sustainable circular economy.
