#186 FRIDAY PHOTOWALK: HIDDEN TRACKS
I've found another disused railway track and it's the perfect photo walk to take with you, as we 'raid' the mailbag and messages following this week's interview shows. Today, the end of the circus but hopefully not the lion, photographing our dearest in times of crisis, street photography, photographic challenges and making pictures on a mountain in a blizzard, hands chilled to the bone with a Nikon though that just won’t give in to the extremes. As has become a feature of this show, you’ll find pictures and links below from those who have appeared on this week’s edition.

FURTHER REFERENCES: The Lambourn Valley Railway (today’s walk), George Logan’s episode photographing in the lions in Africa and his book Lion: Pride before the fall, Ed Kashi’s episode on the Sandwich Generation, Andy Clark’s Insta, Nanto Cielens’ Insta, Purton Hulks (the Severn Estuary) and Andy Hinson’s 500px grid, Scott Goldsmith, Nick Turpin, Craig Hughes’ Insta and Rivoring for holding filters minus step up/down rings.
Today’s show is supported by MPB.com - the number one place to go online if you want to buy, sell or trade used camera gear. Right MPB is asking if you have anything hiding in a cupboard, quality used camera gear that may be the perfect start to somebody else’s photographic career or hobby that you no longer use. Have that gear make money for you, or trade it for kit you’ve been hoping to add to your collection!
Also a hearty thanks to our Patrons who are helping to make this show grow as a safe harbour for photographers who want to know more about the why, than the how.
If you’d like to have your photowalk pictures featured, email them with your stories to studio@photographydaily.show, ideally 2000 pixels on the long side minus a watermark. We’ll be sure to tag and link to your website/Insta etc.
Andy Hinson’s photographs from his walk along Purton Hulks.
Craig Hughes is on the top of the world! Well the Puy de Dôme to be precise 4,806 up.
Michael Honkomp’s trackside, or is it ringside photowalk?
Andy Clark’s cold Hemel Hempstead in England with expensive boots thrown in for good measure!
My photowalk pictures along the LVR disused railway track - with a ghostly accident where the foreground focusing error shows an iron post from the past that appears see through.
