#362 PHOTOWALK: WILD IN THE WATER!

Alexander Ward talks of his wild water photographic swimming project that persuaded him to take to the river too, something that landed him a stay in hospital. Also today, poetry, photography and the mental fight against chronic illness, sublime pictures from the humble smartphone, gratitude and hiking, 'that was 22' and movie homework for the holidays. We end with inspirational guests from the year in a special 'And Finally'. Friday's Photowalk returns on January 6th.

It could have been Tim Bindner’s final frame. Fortunately, very fortunately, not. Read the whole story and hear it on today’s show.

From Dennis ‘The Captain’ Lee: “Hello friends. Fortuna is smiling upon me a second time. One of my pictures was chosen as a winner in ENR's Annual Photo Contest (Engineering News-Record) this year. It has also been chosen as a possible cover shot for the photo contest edition of the magazine. I'm here to ask for your vote in that cover shot selection. I was given this opportunity last year and being a social media loser I totally dropped the ball. So this year I'm at least going to try, which is why you're seeing this. Without further ado, here's the link to vote, I know this isn't really a Photowalk thing, but Neale's a buddy and I've been around since the early early days of the show and thought; "Oh what the heck?” Anyway, below is my shot that's being considered. Thank you and Happy Holidays to All. https://www.enr.com/photo-contest-poll

Two extremes of weather this week as I have walked; the icy blast at the head of the week (above) with a ‘bleurrry’ mist ending the week and final ‘22 show recording (below) on the airbase.
