365:260 PAUL HORNSBY
I recently ‘bit the bullet’ and splashed out on a dedicated black and white camera buying the Leica Q2M with its fixed 28mm f1.7 lens. Obviously, no colour array or low pass filter on the sensor makes for the possibility of potentially hi-fidelity images, especially in low light. The sensor only therefore reacts or captures luminosity values. The attached image was taken at the latter part of dusk on a photowalk in my hometown of Newport South Wales. It’s shot from one side of the river Usk across to the city centre. Photographing at this time of day has its own challenges but can be very rewarding. Definitely, something I’m going to do again.
