I am a new time photographer and listener to the podcast. The photowalk shows have inspired me to combine two hobbies of mine, walking and photography. I am married to an artist who paints some of the most beautiful birth themed works of art. She will be practicing home birth midwifery in the year 2022. So every time she worked on some art I would be envious and think to myself, "Man, I wish I could do that. I wish I knew how to paint." And the truth is I just never wanted to put in the effort of dragging all the materials out and making a mess. So on one of my walks at a nearby nature refuge I decided to take my very limited knowledge of photography and our family camera, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ70 set on scenic mode and went on my merry way. I sat down under a brush, on the coast, along the trail to see what I could capture. To my surprise I was able to capture an Osprey with its breakfast that landed on a branch in the middle of the lake.

This event has sparked my love for wildlife photography. Each day I try to practice or learn something new about photography. This in turn has started my passion for photography. I am branching out and practicing other niches, but I have the most fun and excitement with wildlife photography. I plan on upgrading my camera when I can afford so. As of right now it is mastering my Lumix.
