About a week and a half ago it dawned on me that a photo walk somewhere else other than my immediate surroundings was long overdue so I hopped on a train to The Hague carrying my trusted Nikon DSLR as well as the X-T20 I recently acquired. Although I have worked and studied in The Hague for several years I have never visited solely for a photowalk. The only thing vaguely resembling a plan was to walk from the train station to the business district where I used to work and wing things for the rest of the walk. Even though I usually prefer the countryside over urban environments it is always a joy to seek lines, colours and textures within the latter. Moreover the light was great this particular afternoon and I quickly felt immersed within my viewfinder. This change of scenery was quite inspiring and gave me quite a kick up the proverbial. The added value of just going out and exploring different places every now and then. See more of Rob’s work on his Instagram account.
