For those that lived the year ‘it’ happened, I suspect you won’t forget where you were as you watched the television pictures, either live or not long after The Towers fell. I personally watched the terrible event unfold in a newsroom following reports of the North Tower being hit. To see a second plane hit the South Tower and then receive news of further tragedy as American Airlines Flight 77 and United Airlines Flight 93 were tragically and barbarically downed, was met in our building by a mix of disbelief, horror, anger and of course confusion.

I remember interviewing a New York cab driver that evening. I don’t think I asked any questions. We connected. He asked me if I was recording. I said yes. He spoke. For half an hour. At least.
