#113 A CHANGE OF LIFE, BY DESIGN
James Brittain changed the pace of his life from news photojournalism to architectural photography and is now recognised as a multi award winning international exponent of his craft. Many genres of photography require the photographer to gather quickly, however, this, is a world where time slows and if there were ever a photographic occupation focused upon quality over quantity, this would be it.
This month we’re being supported by MPB who buy and sell thousands of cameras and lenses every week across Europe and America. They have bases in Brooklyn, Brighton and Berlin and as you heard yesterday on the show, if you’re selling, visit their website, click ‘sell or trade,’ fill in the details of what you have and the condition it’s in, MPB organise a pick up with you. The kit goes to the base closest to you, they check, grade it and if everyone’s happy, the money is in your bank quick smart.
Make sure you visit MPB’s blog too, because it’s alive with ideas and photography features. A special mention to Lorena Darquea, an Ecuadorian photographer now based in Mexico who is talking about her own experience of starting up an architectural photography business, appropriate for the subject of today’s podcast. In the article she talks about using tilt shift lenses, inspiration and how nature plays a part in her work.
