#212 BROKEN BONES, BEL-AIR MANSIONS, NASA CLASSIFIED

Snowboarder turned photographer Mike Kelley shares a story of his entirely unplanned journey into the world of international architectural photography. He also talks of the project made with a Canon 6D and cheap 50mm lens that saw him travel to twenty airports around the world to photograph an inventive viral campaign called Airportraits, proof that you simply never know what is around the corner creatively. It’s a story of real left turns in life, being open to opportunity and letting your imagination loose at NASA HQ!

Patron of the Day today is Aleš Wasserberger. As you’ll see by his Instagram, travel, landscape and street is floats his photographic boat and like our guest today, I suspect you can’t wait for borders to open up again.

If you’ve wondered what happens in the MORE editions over on our very own Patreon channel, today you get a free pass for one edition in which we discuss nude photography, objectification, Tracey Emin’s art, plus the strange tale of a bouncer I knew called Scarface and the infamous Wormwood Scrubs prison in London. Click HERE to listen to that episode and be sure to join in with the debate.

We are proud to be supported by MPB.com, the place to go if you want to buy, sell and trade quality used camera kit on line in the US, Europe and the UK and here’s two reasons why you can trust MPB for your picture making.
