Last week, I was off on a fishing trip with my brothers to the Adirondack region of New York State, which features some pristine freshwater lakes. Near the end of the week, I took a break from the fishing to relax a bit and explore the area on foot. During mid-morning as I drank my cup of coffee, I noticed a storm front blowing over the lake. I decided to mount the XF 14mm 2.8R with a 10-stop ND filter on my XT3 and try my hand at some long exposure photography. After a bit of experimentation, I discovered that 10-12 seconds was the sweet spot. I used the JPEG Mono film setting with the red filter and performed a few minor tweaks in Lightroom.
