365:108 PAUL HORNSBY

I’d wanted to somehow convey the power of the water and in particular the power of waves. I wouldn’t dare use an unprotected camera for this type of image but had taken my GoPro with me on holiday last year.. With the old Go Pro I have, you can set it up to take a series of rapid exposures in a burst rate. The GoPro was in its water proof housing. It was impossible to tell how it would come out (also if it would actually work). It fired off about seventy images from the time clicked on the shutter button and held in the sand as the wave shot up the gulley. Needles to say I got soaked, but from my point of view it was worth it. I was amazed how much detail this little cheap camera captured.
