"West Pier Tableau.”

It is possibly one of the most photographed structures in the city (Brighton UK) and certainly one I have hundreds of photos of, either as subject or background and yet I always look for a possible photo when I walk past. I was on my weekly photo walk a couple of weeks ago, when I saw the three figures on the groyne and wandered on to the beach in the hope that they would provide some interest, with the pier in the background. Thankfully serendipity was on my side and I couldn’t have aligned the figures any better if I had directed them. Leica Monochrom and Summarit 50mm 1/500 at f5.6
