365:57 RICHARD YARP
The 365 project is a great idea! I did one back in 2015-2016. It was a great experience. Since then I take and post photos at least once a week in what has become a continual 52 week project from the summer of 2016 onwards.
The photo attached is titled “Fun in the Fountain”. I captured it early October at Discovery Green in Downtown Houston, Texas. Discovery Green is a large (12 acre) urban park next to the Convention Center and other commercial buildings and hotels. A portion of the park has a large sprayground (water fountain/playground). I had noticed the morning sun beautifully backlit the fountain and I actually circled back to it three times to try and make a something work. The third time was when a mother and her two children stepped into the frame. It was a magical moment.
I was in town to do some more architectural photography. This street scene was a real bonus! I shot with my fujifilm XT-3 and the 70-300MM lens. Settings ISO 160, 1/400th sec, f13. And of course I had my ear buds in listening to episode #263. Another terrific episode!
