In Volume Two of REFLECTIONS, Lynn Fraser takes us to Venice out of season, including an extraordinary morning photographing acqua alta as the water rises through the city and eventually reaches her knees. Her story explores Venice during the quieter months, through photographs and observations made away from the usual summer crowds.
Listener letters answer the question I ask at the end of almost every Photowalk interview: why? I also open the door to my own studio for Find Your Space, a Photowalk behind-the-scenes series.
The main interview is with social documentary photographer Marc Davenant, whose Outsiders project documented homelessness in modern Britain over six years. Made in partnership with Shelter, it combines environmental portraits with the personal testimony of participants and became both a book and touring exhibition. Marc photographed across Britain, from Glasgow and Newcastle to Manchester, London, and Brighton, and has recently added new work featuring people living in the homeless tent encampment behind the Adelphi Building on London’s Strand.
The REFLECTIONS vol.2 digital download includes the 48 page A4 PDF and an audio recording of the publication read by The Photowalk host, Neale James. Every purchase directly supports the continued production of The Photowalk.
