#76 LET’S GET PHOTO PERSONAL

Charlie Clift is one of the go to editorial photographers when it comes to inventive, creative concepts that require pictures that go beyond the typical reception room couch pose. There aren’t many photographers who have silenced Jeremy Clarkson for example by shoving a carrot in his gob, to use a colloquialism. Meet Charlie in the first of a three parter on getting personal.

We talk a lot on this show about the power of embracing personal projects for a myriad of reasons; that of mental health, the playful aspect and the opportunity to trial and launch a project to a wider audience including commissioning editors. And that’s what Charlie Clift has done, many times. In fact in two further parts to come, you’ll hear about projects once personal, that have gone on to be commissioned editorial features.

Today is an opportunity to meet the photographer, to unpick a little of his style and ideas.

The show is kindly supported by www.imagesalon.com - outsource your post production and spend more time shooting and working on your business with 25% off your first order in 2020.
