#77 FRIDAY PHOTOWALK: BEACH HUT CASTLES
Today, you and I, are in Whitstable for a walk along the seafront and gentle amble along neighbouring Tankerton’s grassy banks.
Whitstable is a seaside town in Kent (the Garden of England), a couple of miles west of Herne Bay and a place I’ve visited recently a couple of times over this summer period. I’m rather drawn to it. Famous for its oysters, marine conservation, it holds many historical remnants from World War II – which I did worry about slightly, since I was hoping none of these ‘side shows’ would be the large naval mines that seven decades later still occasionally get found by someone looking for Iron Age coins with a metal detector or struck by a plastic spade as you try to build an impressive sandcastle project. Not to worry though, it’s been a while since that kind of find on this stretch of beach.
Lots to discuss today and links to the talking points are below. There’s also some news about a competition and guests to air in the coming weeks on the weekday show.
As always, the show is made by you, so email your questions, thoughts and feedback on the shows to: studio@photographydaily.show
