#64 FOLLOW AND BELIEVE IN YOUR DREAMS

Today’s guest, Elke Vogelsang based in Germany began photographing as a way to tackle some hard emotional challenges presented by a series of personal family life events. As you’re about to hear within today’s episode, the camera, the pictures, the animals, became a mental refuge, though she didn’t have the slightest idea how good she really was immediately.

Take a peak at the list of companies, organisations and media interest she has created by just simply following her dreams, it seems unfathomable that she might never have found her creative feet, if she had believed the nagging voice trying to persuade her otherwise.

The Sunday Times, National Geographic, Taschen. And the list actually goes on. They’ve all featured Elke’s extraordinary study of our faithful friends. Look into the eyes of any and all the pictures you view on her website and you’ll see a dog or cat, not just looking back, but talking to you.

Also on the show I talked of my own attempts at making pet portraits and it’s not at all easy. I’ve attached a few of my, well, very traditionally styled own.

As always, I appreciate your feedback to all episodes by email so that I can read and inspire during Friday’s Photowalk Edition. Email: studio@photographydaily.show
