365:66 LARS HEGAARD
No. 113
Geographically, I made the photo just 20 meters from where the main road to Horsens passes Alminsø in Silkeborg, about 20 km west of Knudsø, where Jens Rohde walks along the shore with his camera.
I was on my way to the lake for a late morning dip when the boat caught my eye. There is no great story to this picture. It's more like a photo of a dream.
I occasionally look forward to my retirement. A bit premature, maybe. It will probably be ten years before I retire, but I dream of owning a boat at that time. It could be a rowing boat like this, though I would prefer a small sailboat with a tiny cabin to sit and enjoy tranquility, drinking Nescafé or seeking shelter from a passing rain shower.
An essential element of my future sailing trips must be a bottle of locally brewed beer pulled on a string behind the boat to maintain the proper temperature of the beer until the lunch break. I will disguise the setup as a fishing rod with a line. When other sailors pass and ask: "Any luck?" I will answer Yes! ...... Oh yes! ..........
